I was over-confident with being able to get to the end of the movie this week. It turns out that killing off two characters shouldn’t be taken lightly. My thoughts on this pivotal scene are as follows:
- I’m worried about the pacing of the film with this moment happening so close to the climax.
- I really need to go back into the script to set this scene up. Currently, it feels a little out-of-the-blue.
The death of Stan and Rebecca aside, I did enjoy writing the exchange between Jones and Jebediah. It reminded me of how much I enjoy writing dialog. I have a previous screenplay that is mostly dialog, and I had so much fun writing it. Maybe season two of this project will be more like that kind of script.
